Conor Comfort is a research demographer in the Population Program in the Bureau of Economic and Business Research at the University of Florida. Conor received his undergraduate degree in urban & regional planning at Florida Atlantic University from Boca Raton, FL in 2021, and a master’s degree in geosciences (specialization in urban and human geography) from Florida Atlantic University in 2023.

His graduate research focused on the cultural geography and dynamics of Florida’s population in relation to culture, health, and land use. This included studying the identity of South Florida’s population in relation to demographic categories. He has also conducted research on urban heat islands and land use using remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS).

At BEBR, Conor is responsible for examining statistics and managing data for population analysis. He also investigates methodological approaches to applied demography and human population changes.
